PAIA Manual

This manual is published in line with section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 ("PAIA"). It describes the records held by VelaCommerce and how to request access to them.

1. Particulars of the body

• Name: VelaCommerce (operating entity registered in South Africa).
• Information Officer: via privacy@velacommerce.co.za.
• Postal address: available on written request to the Information Officer.

2. Guide on how to use PAIA

The Information Regulator's official Guide to PAIA is available at inforegulator.org.za in all official languages.

3. Records held

• Corporate, statutory, and tax records.
• Merchant contracts, invoices, and payout records.
• Platform operational logs and security audit trails.
• Personal information records as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Requests for access

Submit a completed PAIA Form 02 (for requests to private bodies) to the Information Officer at privacy@velacommerce.co.za. We respond within 30 days as required by section 56 of PAIA. Fees prescribed under the PAIA regulations may apply.

5. Remedies

A requester whose request is refused may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to court for appropriate relief, in line with sections 77A–82 of PAIA.
